Laser Hair Removal Treatments
Laser hair removal
treatments offer an alternative for anyone who is
tired of having to shave, pluck, tweeze
or wax to remove unwanted hair. Until
recently the only alternative that was
available was a procedure called
electrolysis. Electrolysis involves
delivering a small charge of electricity
directly into the hair follicle. This
electrical shock kills the follicle and
eliminates the ability of that follicle
being able to produce a new hair. This
process can be very time consuming,
because the shock must be delivered to
each follicle one at a time.
Electrolysis usually requires several
visits to eliminate hair from a large
area.
A few
years ago a new hair removal system was
introduced using a pulsing laser light
to accomplish the same task. Laser
hair removal treatments has since been growing
in popularity. The reason for the growth
is, laser hair removal is simpler and
faster than electrolysis. Laser hair
removal can be achieved in much less
time because the laser is able to treat
large areas and multiple hair follicles
at the same time. This has made
permanent hair removal cost less than in
the past. The lower cost has contributed
to more of the population being able to
afford such treatments. |
