Soccer Leagues For Kids
There are lots of great soccer leagues for kids.
Sahlen’s Sports Park in Elma, New York opened in
1999. Since that time, it has become the largest
indoor sports center in Western New York. This
indoor soccer facility is home to hundreds of adult
indoor soccer leagues, parent indoor soccer leagues,
youth indoor soccer leagues, and kids indoor soccer
leagues. People from Rochester New York, Erie
Pennsylvania, Niagara Falls Canada, and Buffalo New
York use this facility.
McLean Youth Soccer has soccer leagues for kids of
all ages. They are in McLean Virginia, about thirty
minutes from Washington, DC. McLean Youth Soccer has
customized soccer leagues for ages 5-19, both boys
and girls. These soccer leagues are for all skill
levels.
The Burlington Youth Soccer Club organizes soccer
leagues for kids aged 5 through 15. They have a
website that features their league and clinic
information. Burlington is in Ontario. The soccer
leagues that they are forming now include both
indoor and outdoor formats.

It is interesting that the soccer leagues for kids
in the United States are slightly different than the
soccer leagues for kids in other parts of the world,
like Europe. In the United States in the soccer
leagues for kids, everyone plays. It has absolutely
nothing to do with skills. There is no score kept
until kids are about nine years old and have been
playing soccer in soccer leagues for four years.
There are a lot of interesting discussions on the
internet about why soccer is as popular as an adult
sport everywhere in the world except the United
States and soccer leagues for kids thrive. The
prevailing opinion is that left-leaning elites like
a sport for their children where competition is
eliminated and violence minimized.
Soccer leagues for kids are great in that they have
organized activities for kids to participate in.
This should not be confused with training kids to
become famous athletes. Most American kids burn out
and lose interest in soccer at the exact time that
it becomes really competitive and hard. |
